Evaluations
Each semester, I reflect on the classes taught and what aspects I thought went well and what parts might need reworked for next time. I am always very grateful for student feedback, both written and verbal, and consider areas to improve and evolve. Below is a collection of Evaluation and Feedback Forms from a selection of previous classes taught at the University of Utah
Advanced 3D Modeling Fall 2021
"This was a very demanding course, the only thing that kept me from going insane was Kolton being a great instructor. He was very understanding about the work load requirements and made sure we weren't stressed about assignments. He seemed genuinely interested that we were improving our quality of work and was always open to helping us or showing us new methods for making our work faster/easier."
Intro to Game Design Spring 2022
"This course was a positive experience from the Instructor, to the TA, to the other students. The Professor always encouraged students to participate in discussions and talk through our ideas with the rest of the class, even prompting the more withdrawn students to give their opinions without ever being to pushy."
Trad Game Development Fall 2023
"Kolton is an engaging professor and lets us explore the development of games without much restriction. His guidance was invaluable and he was always there to help with advice or to answer questions. His teaching style is amazing and he has a fervor when it comes to helping his students. Easily one of my favorite professors in this major!"
Asset Pipeline
Fall 2024
"Kolton had obvious, in–depth knowledge of the programs we used. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain what certain functions did and why certain steps were important in the process, rather than just giving us step–by–step "just click here" instructions and no further explanation. He was receptive to our feedback if we needed more time on an assignment, and made sure that we were always getting help with out–of–class assignments via the class discord."
Digital Content Creation Fall 2024
"Professor Eichers was a really good instructor – he broke down each topic well in his lectures, gave ample time for assignments, and regularly provided the class resources to help with each topic."
"Fun professor, made lectures more interesting and was overall very helpful and kind."
